Bible

Scripture for the week: (I Samuel 1:20; 26-28) Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD. And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD. For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: herefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.

Salvation: It is very important to obtain salvation, which consist of deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. These are the necessary steps to obtaining salvation.

1. You must first repent for your sins: Repent from your heart and ask God to forgive you for all the things you have done wrong in your life, and he will help you to turn from those sinful and wicked ways. The Bible says that we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. Always remember that God looks in the heart of man.

2. Water Baptism Is to be administered only by immersion. Paul said, "We are buried with him {Jesus Christ} by baptism" Romans 6:4. This step is symbolic to Jesus death, burial, and resurrection from the grave. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the birth of the Spirit (John 3:5). This spiritual baptism is necessary for one to enter into the kingdom of God. The Bible says except a man be born again of the water and the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3. The Holy Ghost is a free gift from God that comes to dwell in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes and obeys the gospel, he is a Comforter, Sustainer, and Keeper (John 14:16-26; Romans 8:9-11).

The Bible says after you receive the Holy Ghost you shall have power.
  • After we are saved from sin, we are commanded, "Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11). We are also commanded to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world (Titus 2:12) and warned that without holiness no one shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Please know that God loves you so much that he gave his only begotten son just to save your soul. John 3:16.
